Seems it's permanently closed after the fire 🔥 event as already it's closed since long time for covid. 😔 Lots of sweet memories are attached with this place. Countless times visited here in my School and College days. Very touched and sad to see it's getting close. Requesting authorities to keep this place alive.
Jaya Multiplex is the only multiplex whose structure or physical appearance is like the old mansions alike the other theatres used to be few decades back, I have ever seen, I may be wrong.
Dilapidated, doomed atmosphere etc are the major problems but keeping aside those problems, the screen, seats, audio system, food availability is great. Ticket prices are little bit higher than the other theatres because there are no other substitute facilities available in that particular area.
Outside the theatre, ample amount of snacks stores, tea and coffee shops, restaurants, dhabas, adda zones, (selfie spots too😂) are available.
Situated at the middle of VIP Road and Jessore Road Connector via Bangur Avenue, it has a good public transport connection to Shyambazar, Belgachhia, Dum Dum, North Calcutta, South Calcutta, E.M. Bypass, Nagerbazar, Keshtopur, Baguiati and Airport as well.
